Psalm 47:1-2; 5-7 Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout* to Elohim with a voice of singing!* For Yahweh Most High is awesome; A great Sovereign over all the earth.* Elohim shall go up* with a shout, Yahweh with a voice of a shophar. Sing praises to Elohim, sing praises! Sing praises to our Sovereign, sing praises! For Elohim is Sovereign of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding.
A CALL TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YAHWEH IS THE SUPREME AUTHORITY ON EARTH!
Psalm 66:8-12 Bless our Elohim, you peoples! And sound His praise abroad, Who keeps us in life, and does not allow our feet to be moved.* For You, O Elohim, have proved us;* You have refined* us as silver is refined. You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our loins. You have let men ride at our head; We went through fire and through water; but You brought us out to plenty.*
A CALL TO REJOICE BECAUSE YAHWEH PROVES US, REFINES US AND REPLENISHES US!
Psalm 81:3, 13-16 Blow a shophar in the New moon, in the covering* for the day of our festival. O, if My people had listened* to Me, Yisrael would walk in My ways*, I would subdue their enemies at once, and turn My hand against their adversaries! Those who hate Yahweh would cringe before Him; and their time of punishment be forever. He would feed them with the finest of wheat; and with honey from the rock I would satisfy* you.
A CALL TO TURN BACK TO YAHWEH, LISTEN TO HIS WORDS AND WALK IN HIS WAYS
1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 For if we believe that Y’shua died and rose again, so also Elohim shall bring with Him those who sleep in Y’shua. For this we say to you by the word of the Master*, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep.* Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim*, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first. Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. So, then, encourage* one another with these words.
A CALL TO PREPARE AND BE READY FOR THE RETURN OF Y’SHUA OUR MASTER
Today, Yahweh gives us the best of reasons to rejoice. With the sound of the shofar we have everlasting joy on our heads (Isa 51); we can shout for joy together (Isa 52); we know that we are sharing in the joy of many generations (Isa 60) and we can fully substitute our mourning with Yahweh’s oil of joy (Isa 61). May this joy always remain within us, and always be seen, from without!
