This book is about discovering the heart and soul of the land of Israel. The conviction behind the book is that the inherent attractiveness of Israel can only be fully experienced with the maximum use of one’s senses – like feeling the pulse of remote paths in the forests and wilderness areas, hearing the sounds of an Israel market and tasting and touching the things that add to the life-spice of this land. Against this background, what is offered here, are the details of no less than 100 short and relaxing walking routes, each one covering a distance of around 2 to 3 kilometers, on average. The information on each walk includes two static maps, distances, difficulty levels, directions, coordinates for easily finding the starting points, and to the point anecdotes and fun facts.
A complete set of KML (GPS type) maps may be ordered separately from the book itself. The KML maps are excellent navigational tools, to be used in combination with any of the variety of KML compatible hiking Apps, available on Google Play Store or the IOS App Store.
With this very handy tool in one’s hand, it is possible to just get out there, and start enjoying everything that the extremely versatile country of Israel has to offer!
