The command in Shemot 19 that the people had to wash their clothes (from the defilement of the world), before Mosheh would receive the Torah on Sinai, is an indication to us that we must let ourselves be “washed” by the Word (Eph 5:26) when we enter the feast of Shavuot – impurity of words, of thoughts and doctrines, of attitudes and an over-critical spirit, of unclean desires and lusts, of double standards, of pretence and any form of falsehood, of fear caused by unbelief, of greed and cold-heartedness, and of dead works. Just to name a few things. The book of Psalms is an excellent aid for us in this regard.
SEVEN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ONE WHO WALKS IN YAHWEH’S WAY (Ps 1:2-6)
(1) His DELIGHT is in the Torah of Yahweh, and (2) he MEDITATES on His Torah day and night. And he will be (3) like a TREE planted by streams of water, (4) which gives its FRUIT in its season and of which the (5) LEAVES do not wither; and (6) everything he does, he executes PROSPEROUSLY. For (7) YAHWEH knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the apostate will perish.
SEVEN POWERFUL PRAYERS FOR FELLOW BELIEVERS (Ps 20:1-9)
(1) May Yahweh answer you in the day of DISTRESS! (2) May the Name of the Elohim of Yaákov PROTECT you! (3) May He send you help from the set-apart place and SUPPORT you from Zion! (4) May He remember all your food offerings and look with APPROVAL at your burnt offering! Selah. (5) May He give to you according to your heart and fulfil all your INTENTIONS! We want to shout for joy over your victory and raise the banners in the Name of our Elohim. (6) May Yahweh fulfil all your DESIRES! (7) May He answer us on the day when we CALL!
SEVEN CONSEQUENCES FOR THOSE WHO HAVE RECEIVED FORGIVENESS (Ps 32:7-11)
(1) You are a HIDING PLACE for me; (2) You PRESERVE me from distress; (3) You SURROUND me with joyful songs of deliverance. Selah. (4) I want to INSTRUCT you and teach you concerning the way you should go; I want to give counsel; (5) my EYE will be upon you. The apostate has many sorrows, but he who trusts in Yahweh – (6) with LOVINGKINDNESS He will surround him. (7) Be GLAD in Yahweh and REJOICE, O righteous ones! And SHOUT FOR JOY, all you upright in heart!
SEVEN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE KING – PROPHETIC: MASHIACH (Ps 45:2-4)
(1) You are much FAIRER than the sons of Adam – (2) FAVOUR is poured out upon your lips; therefore Elohim has (3) BLESSED You forever. Gird your sword upon your thigh, O mighty one, your (4) MAJESTY and your EXCELLENCE; yes, your GREATNESS! Ride prosperously for the sake of (5) TRUTH and (6) HUMILITY and (7) RIGHTEOUSNESS; and let your right hand teach You awesome things!
SEVEN SINS OCCURRING AMONG COVENANT PEOPLE (Ps 50:16-20)
Why do you take my covenant into your mouth, while you (1) HATE DISCIPLINE and (2) cast my WORDS behind you? (3) When you see a thief, then it pleases you to be with him (APPROVAL), and (4) your portion is with the adulterers (PARTICIPATION). Your mouth you let loose in (5) EVIL, and your tongue weaves (6) DECEIT. (7) You sit and speak against your brother, the son of your mother you SLANDER.
SEVEN WAYS IN WHICH YAHWEH BLESSES THE LAND (Ps 65:8-11)
The inhabitants of the ends of the earth fear your signs; (1) You make the outgoings of the morning and the evening shout for joy (JOY). (2) You have visited the land and given abundance (MORE THAN ENOUGH); (3) You ENRICH it abundantly; (4) the stream of Elohim is full of water (SENDS RAIN). (5) You PREPARE their grain; yes, thus You prepare the land. You water its furrows, make its clods LEVEL; with rain showers You make it SOFT; (6) You BLESS its growth (FRUIT). (7) You CROWN the year with your goodness (STAMP OF APPROVAL).
SEVEN PROMISES TOWARD YAHWEH (Ps 71:14-17)
(1) But I will continually HOPE and (2) INCREASE all your PRAISE. (3) My mouth will TELL OF YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, (4) your SALVATION all day long; for I do not know the measure thereof. (5) I will come with the MIGHTY DEEDS of the Master Yahweh; (6) I will mention your righteousness, THAT OF YOU ALONE. Elohim, You have taught me from my youth, and until now (7) I declare your WONDERS.
