(A look into some prophetic Scriptures - specifically the books of Yeshayahu and Yirmeyahu - where the phrases "in that day" and "in those days" are used to refer to the end time we've already entered or are about to enter)

1.                  He is gathering unto Himself a name-conscious people who recognizes how exalted and excellent (literally: "weighty") His Name is.  According to Scriptures the last days will undoubtedly be a time when the Name of Yahweh will be rediscovered and revered and called upon by those who are eager to seek and obey the Word of the Almighty. Our Father has made clear his intent to restore His memorial Name which the enemy has successfully obscured for many centuries.          Yesh (Isaiah) 12:4; Yesh 52:6.

2.                  He is gathering unto Himself a humbled people who are not trusting in their own methods of worship, their own abilities and their own religious traditions any more, but are now only trusting Yahweh and looking to Him to reveal to them the way they should go.  This is a time of a complete abandonment of those trusted formats of "churchianity" invented by man and a complete return to the revealed pattern  of the Word of Yahweh.       Yesh 17:7; Yesh 30:21-22.

3.                  He is gathering unto Himself an obedient people - serious about righteousness and guarding the truth with everything they have.  The righteousness of this people is in complete harmony with the righteousness of Yahweh and therefore founded on His Torah.  The truth they are guarding is the often forgotten truths of Scriptures as a whole and the absolute trustworthiness of every word proceeding from the mouth of Yahweh.        Yesh 26:2; Yesh 51:7.

4.                  He is gathering unto Himself a redeemed people who is symbolically coming out of Egypt (literally: "they who are besieged, confined, put up in bags") and out of Assyria (literally: "they who are happy, successful, prosperous").   Those today who seem to be prosperous and comfortable - even in their religious environment - may have the same need for deliverance as those who are spiritually in bondage.  It is only the truth that will set people free.         Yesh 19:23-25; Yesh 27:13.

5.                  He is gathering unto Himself a purified people consisting only of a remnant, that is a small percentage of the original group that was supposed to constitute the community known as the people of Yahweh.  Contrary to what many are preaching today, the end-time work of Yahweh only involves an handful of faithful believers (scattered all over the world) who have chosen the narrow way leading to life instead of the broad way leading to destruction.       Yesh 10:20-21; Yesh 28:5.

6.                  He is gathering unto Himself an enlightened people whose ears have been opened to the truths of the Word of Yahweh and whose eyes have seen the wonderful transition from complete (or partial) darkness to the brilliant light of the Messiah.  The same situation so frequently described in the Scriptures repeats itself time and again in our day: people perfectly capable of seeing and hearing in the natural are unable to see and hear the works and the words of Yahweh.     Yesh 29:18; Yesh 44:18.

7.                  He is gathering unto Himself a hand-picked people by touching the lives of individuals all over the world.  These ones are called by name, on a one by one basis, to become part of the set-apart bride of Messiah.  The completion of this family of Yahweh often takes precedence over the ties of human families and when people become true followers of the Messiah, they frequently find themselves in a situation where their physical families choose not to go along with them.        Yesh 27:12; Yir 3:14-16.

8.                  He is gathering unto Himself an united people consisting of both the house of Yehudah and the house of Yisrael.  Our Father is not interested in gathering only a certain portion of the full number of his people and it is therefore His intention in these last days to open the eyes of both "Jews" (house of Yehudah) and "non-Jews" (house of Yisrael, scattered among the nations of the earth) to the timeless truths of His Word.        Yesh 11:12-13; Yir (Jeremiah) 3:18.

9.                  He is gathering unto Himself a Spirit-filled people, joined to their Elohim through a new covenant based on a better priesthood, a perfect Sacrifice and new promises, but the same criteria for right and wrong, for clean and unclean, and for set-apart and secular.  The true meaning of being Spirit-filled is that Yahweh enables his people through his set-apart Spirit to keep His commandments by writing His Torah on their hearts.         Yesh 59:21; Yir 31:31-33.

10.             He is gathering unto Himself a priestly people who joins Yahweh and cleave to Him like the tribe of the Levites.  The word "Levi" literally means "to join" or "to cleave".  In terms of the new covenant where the priesthood has been transferred to One of the tribe of Yehudah (Y'shua, our eternal High priest) all those who join themselves to Yahweh and become followers of Y'shua, become part of this royal priesthood and will eventually rule with Him as kings and priests.               Yesh 56:3-5; Yir 50:4-5.

11.             He is gathering unto Himself his beloved people, sometimes called His vineyard (Yesh 5:1), some-times His green olive tree (Yir 11:15-16). The "Branch" coming from this tree He called "my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" - Y'shua the Messiah, born from the house of David (which literally means: "beloved").  Those who accept the Messiah and His message are called (natural or grafted-in) branches in the Vine and consequently also become the beloved of Yahweh.     Yesh 22:22; Yir 33:15.

12.             He is gathering unto Himself a forgiven people inasmuch as He has completely forgiven and wiped out the sins of those who came out of the darkness into His wonderful light.  Had it not been for His perfect forgiveness no one would be able to enter into his new covenant.  On the other hand, had it not been for the new covenant and the Spirit of Yahweh enabling us to obey His commandments, we would turn back and sin again and again and our forgiveness would mean nothing.      Yesh 55:7;   Yir 50:20.

What do our agenda's look like in these last days?  Should our agenda's not be in line with our Father's agenda?  Should our message to others not be the same as the message of our Master: "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me"(John 10:37)?  There are so many different kinds of works being done "in the Name of the Lord" in churches all over the world.  How many of these have the blessing of the Almighty?  How many of these are no more than dead works - even if they are "good" works?

I firmly believe that the time has come for us to start taking notice of the prophesies in the Scriptures concerning the end times.  Not with the aim of becoming one more "prophetic voice" predicting what is going to happen over the next few years.  Please no, we have enough of these self-appointed prophets.  The time has come for us to study the prophets in order to find out what Yahweh Himself has revealed concerning His modus operandi in the time leading up to the "restoration of all things".  In these prophesies we will find the blueprint of what our priorities and concerns should be - lest we remain in darkness and the Day of Yahweh overtakes us as a thief (1 Thess 5:4).
