What is the role of children in believer's assemblies according to the Scriptures?

1.    Whenever  Yahweh has an important announcement to make, He makes sure that everyone is present, including the children - see Deu 29:10-12 (You stand today, all of you, before Yahweh your Elohim; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel, your little ones, your wives, and your stranger that is in your camp, from the cutter of your wood to the drawer of your water; so that you should enter into covenant with Yahweh your Elohim).

2.    Whenever mention is made of the "congregation" or "assembly" of Yahweh's people, the children are included - see  Jos 8:35  (There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua did not read before all the congregation of Israel, with the women and the little ones, and the strangers that walked among them) and Ezra 10:1  (And when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of Elohim, there gathered to him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children, for the people wept with a great weeping)

3.    Scriptures emphasize the necessity for children to be exposed to Biblical truths as frequently and persistently as possible - see  Deu 4:9 (Only take heed to yourself and keep your soul carefully, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. But teach them to your sons, and your sons' sons) en Deu 6:6,7  (And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart.  And you shall carefully teach them to your sons, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up)

4.    It was Yahweh's design from the beginning that children, too, should hear his revelations and adapt their lives accordingly - see Deu 29:29 (The secret things belong unto Yahweh our Elohim; but the things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law)

5.    When the body of believers appears before Yahweh, especially when presenting their offerings and when they are in a joyful mood, the children must be present - see  Deu 12:12 (And you shall rejoice before Yahweh your Elohim, you and your sons, and your daughters, and your male slaves, and your female slaves, and the Levite within your gates because he has no portion or inheritance with you)

6.    One of the most powerful end-time promises in the entire Old Testament is that Yahweh will pour out his Spirit upon "all flesh" - that is on sons and daughters and older people alike - all who will call upon and praise his Name - see Joel 2:26-32 (... and you shall praise the name of Yahweh your Elohim, who has dealt wondrously with you...And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams...all who shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved...)

7.    Y'shua encouraged the presence of children in "adult" meetings because He knew the Scriptures regarding children as an inheritance and a strong weapon in the hand of Yahweh - see Mark 10:14 (And He said to them, Allow the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them. For of such is the kingdom of Elohim) and Ps 127:3,4 (Behold! Chilren are an inheritance of Yahweh ... As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of the young)
